We have had a great deal of success with our program, and we are very proud of our

patients who have taken the necessary steps to control their lives and their weight. To this

we say “congratulations!”

     However, we are also aware that success is not always achieved on the first attempt.

This is true in every walk of life, not just for those of us trying to control our weight.

Often success is only achieved after many failures and temporary setbacks. From Thomas

Edison and the invention of the electric light bulb, to Colonel Sanders and the franchising of

Kentucky Fried Chicken, many of our most well known and celebrated success stories were

achieved only after many failed attempts.

     The value of persistence is well illustrated in the following life story. Consider the

following… this man:
